It all began here in Whittier California. After business collage in Laramie, Wyoming, Michael started a job on the corner of Magnolia Ave and Hadley St, but he had big dreams and was passionate about becoming a professional photographer. Eating plenty of Top Ramen, he was able to save money for a few years and he bought his first camera and planned on moving back to the high desert where rent is cheaper and he could find a place with a woodshop to begin learning how to make picture frames.
After settling in, the company was founded under the DBA Statuezque Photography. This was one of the first ever photos taken with that camera which lead to this advertisement. Things on the photography side were going well and making picture frame was quickly becoming the new focus of the company. As equipment was being acquired to start this new venture, the space in which to start a manufacturing operation became unfortunately nonexistent. A new much larger facility would be required to even attempt a mass production of wood frames.
After packing everything he owned in his car, He set out to move in with his sister Katie where his Mother was also temporaraly living after moving to Tennessee. Reunited with his family and away from the fast paced life of California, he was able to focuas again on his dream. With frozen fingers, he attempted his first frames in his sisters small 8x8 dilapidated shed. The vision came to life and sparked a fire that at the time he didn't know would end with fire. He became know in the area for quality craftsmanship and was hired by the Cocke County Courthouse to build two large frames holding historic maps of the area. It was time to quite the day job and take that leap of faith.
